Arielle Burgdorf (they/them/theirs) is a non-binary and queer author, scholar, and literary translator from the French.
Their writing engages with issues of gender, sexuality, art, language, and power. They are interested in ways to make translation theory more pragmatic and applicable to the material working conditions of translators, as well as ways to acknowledge and account for the violence inherent in translation.
Their first novel, Prétend, was published in January 2024 by End of the Line Press.
